We have several wool blankets with multiiple moth holes. Will machine washing remove eggs and larvae? What can we do about making sure there aren't others left over in environment, once we've washed the blankets (or whatever method you suggest)?
What are safe, non-toxic control methods for each of these insects?
I have a serious moth infestation in all closets in apartment and in Tibetan Wool Rug (under couch). Also, possibly they've gotten thru the torn netting under couch and are up in couch.
I've ordered a booklet but need immediate advice as to how I can clean them entirely out of couch and thick wool carpet. I really don't want to use toxic pesticides. The closets are loaded with with clothes and the job seems overwhelming, financially and time wise.
Any advice?
I have a pest that has been coming inside in the warm evening when I leave the door open they come in because of the light They are about 3/4 inch long, rust-reddish color large wings, small body. I mostly pick them up by their wings and throw them out doors. Do you know what kind of pest this is?
Where can I get pheramone traps for carpet beetles, and how well do they work? Do you have any other options that work better. I have 3 cats and no children in the household.
I have recently discovered that I have a small infestation of case-bearing moth larvae in my apartment. At first I only saw them here an there on my walls, but upon closer inspection I have now noticed the larvae sacks on my rugs in near/on some of my clothes. I will start by vacuuming up as many as I can, but do you know of any other methods (a less-toxic fumigation or some such) that would help me stem the tide of this infestation? Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
I have an apple tree that has been damaged by little worms in the fruit. Do you know how i could remedy this problem?
