Mosquitoes FAQs
Question 1

Have someone here very sensitive to mosquito bites (weals 6" across). Have a "swarm" of adult culiseta incodens (from a now drained tiny pond) which needs to be erradicated to protect the sensitive person. Tried spraying Orange Guard under the eves where they are congregating. Would soapy water be better - or what? We do not use chemical pesticides on the property.

Question 2

Last summer I saw an add in our local newspaper for free mosquito eating fish for backyard ponds. At the time we had a hard time getting there during their business hours. We have a small pond in our backyard. ( It is not a stagnet pond, it has a small waterfall running into it.) Anyway, it was a governmetal agency that was offering these fish for free. Are you aware of any offers like this? If not can I get them at the local pet store?
